Chris Cornell, live at Kesslehaus, Berlin 20th May 2007Chris is surely in the top 10 rock singers alive today, even if when I saw him a few years back now I was a little dissapointed by his performance, but then he can't be expected to wail night after night as well as he did when he was in his early twenties.
I think he should really get himself a top band together now and stick with the solo career. I loved Soundgarden, and I loved RATM at their peak, but Audioslave was a bit of an anti climax overall. The first album was excellent, very refreshing to hear such a tight band with a great singer at the helm, but the latter releases failed to insoire quite as much, and as such I think the split was just about timed right. Fingers crossed that Chris can now find himself a really hot band that will contribute to the songwriting process and he can keep adding to his impressive back catalogue.
