Arctic Monkeys, debut album demos, 2005Richard Hawley was shafted when the Arctic Monkeys debut album beat Coles Corner to win the Mercury Music Prize, as they themselves said, not least because the award was meant to promote lesser known artists, but as most of us now it's now just an industry backslapping exercise. Anyway, it was still a great album, and did well enough under the labels own pushing without the extra it sold due to the award, Here's the demos from the young men, featuring many an unreleased track to boot (all in better quality than the fansite too!)
