Jeff Buckley, live at Sudbahnhof France, 24th February 1995
On the 24th February 1995, Jeff and the band performed for a French TV show, and the bootleg of this is fairly widely available, but sadly it cuts out due to the program running time during Grace. This however, is the full show, as the tapes were left running after the show left air, and boy am I glad it's available, as the version of Lilac Wine here is one of my absolute favourites, and to have it, and the entire show, in such quality is sweet.

This version of Lilac Wine is a little different, cooler, not so Nina Simone. Liked it, but I prefer others! :)

as you said/wrote, it is widely available in shorter version - have it, but it's called Sudbahnhof, Frankfurt, Germany. no word about French TV...
anyway, Jeff is Jeff, whatever he did, whenever, wherever is closer to perfection than anything that's been going on in music world for the last 15-20 years, IMO.
You're quite right, it was recorded in Germany and not France.Just one of the many silly mistakes I make when rushing and not double-checking.
