Alex Chilton, live on WLYX FM, Memphis 1975

Next in the Jeff Buckley musical family tree is Big Star (Kanga-Roo) frontman Alex Chilton, with a rather lovely solo (almost anyway, someone plays tambs and sings b-vox) radio performance. If you don't already know, are not aware of the band, or are just too dense to realise, the alt-folk band Death Cab For Cutie are named after the Big Star song featured in this set. Also in the set is one of my alltime favourite sexy songs in Kizza Me. Excellentness! An Additional also, Take Me Home...1 internets to whoever can tell me which Jeff song it lyrically reminds me of.

01 Femme Fatale (The Velvet Underground)
02 Oh Dana
03 Take Me Home And Make Me Like It
04 Jesus Christ
05 Death Cab For Cutie
06 Kizza Me
07 I Will Always Love You (Dolly Parton)

Actually, Death Cab for Cutie was written and originally performed by The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band. In fact, it's featured in the film Magical Mystery Tour. Great Big Star boot nevertheless.

Yeah, I know I made the mistake, I called myself an arse in a post on the band of the same name.
